Country Analysis of Collaborative Governance Practices and Power Distance Relations: United States, Japan, and Israel

In 2021 Pepperdine University graduate student Rebecca Doublesin engaged in a project with UNCG on international perspectives on collaborative governance. This paper is an examination of the context of collaborative governance and power distance in the United States, Israel, and Japan applying Geert Hofstede (1980) concept of power distance for comparing cultures. Information for the context of these specific countries was gathered through remote interviews conducted February-April 2021.
